From the album McCord (Single)
Notes about 'McCord':
One of my favorite things to do is to sit on the porch at night and listen to the mockingbirds. There are usually two, a few trees apart, having a conversation with one another. It is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Just the varied sounds of these two lonely birds at night - with nothing else going on.
One night while listening, the idea for a song popped into place. My thoughts immediately turned to a friend that we all lost a few years ago. A young gay man named Reginald McCord. He was a bright spirit whose warmth burned out way too soon. I dedicated this song to him.
